Rides at Cornwall's Crealy include roller coaster Morgawr, drop tower The Beast, chair-o-plane Wave Rider, swinging ship Viking Warrior, racing water slides Raging River and log flume Thunder Falls. The theme park is aimed at families with children up to the age of six. Swampy and Dina are the resident characters. The development is expected to generate at least 950 new jobs and construction could start in the new year.

The previous owners will continue to operate Devon's Crealy, located near Exeter, which this year opened new roller coaster The Twister.
John Broome took over Alton Towers in the 1970s, developing it into a theme park by adding rides such as the Corkscrew roller coaster, a Pirate Ship, the Log Flume and a second roller coaster The Black Hole, before selling to the Tussauds Group in 1990.
