A new themed animal attraction, Little Africa, has opened at Paultons Park - just in time for February Half Term in 2018.

Little Africa is home to a number of animals native to the continent, including fennec fox, African crested porcupines, meerkats, Savannah monitor lizards and giant train millipedes, as well as one of the largest rodents in Africa, the Gambian pouched rat, and also the smallest, the African pygmy mouse.

Thorpe Park has announced The Year of The Walking Dead, a series of new unmissable events throughout the 2018 season from when the theme park re-opens on 23rd March.

An invasion of Walkers descended upon the Island during Fright Nights last year and we thought the battle against the dead was won… we were wrong.

This season, the apocalypse is nigh at Thorpe Park with a deadly calendar of unmissable events.

Alton Towers has confirmed that Secret Weapon 8 will be a new wooden roller coaster called WICKER MAN and is set to open in Spring 2018.

The ground-breaking new ride development is a world class wooden roller coaster built by Great Coasters International.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has demolished the classic Wild Mouse roller coaster that opened in 1958.

Wild Mouse was an iconic wooden roller coaster, one of only 4 remaining wooden Wild Mouse roller coasters left in the world and was held in high regard as one of the finest and most extreme examples.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach issued the following statement:

While the theme park rides and attractions are closed until mid March 2018, the award-winning Flamingo Land Zoo is open to visitors every day.

Weekdays

Flamingo Land Zoo is open 10am - 4pm, allowing you to enjoy over 140 species. This extends to the Peter Rabbit Adventure and Lily Bobtail’s Nature Discovery playgrounds, Children's Planet, Reptile River, Muddy Duck Farm, Treetop WalkwayWallaby Walkway and the Aquarium.

The lemur and lorikeet aviary walkthroughs are open from midday until 2pm. These provide truly unrestricted views and the opportunity for up-close encounters. The Sea Lion Encounter is available 12.30pm - 2pm. There are Keeper Talks too, plus Meet a Creature sessions in the Education Centre at 3.15pm.

LEGOLAND Windsor is busy preparing spectacular new LEGO additions for families to enjoy when the theme park opens its doors for the 2018 season on 9 March 2018.

Joining a LEGO filled calendar of events - from LEGO STAR WARS Days to Brick or Treat Halloween and LEGOLAND at Christmas - LEGOLAND Windsor is excited to announce the 2018 opening of Miniland Explore the World, Miniland USA and LEGO Reef!

A whole new LEGO world of awesome awaits in 2018, with over 2 million LEGO bricks set to be installed into the theme park’s world famous Miniland attraction and LEGO Reef.

The Walking Dead: Living Nightmare could return as a permanent all season attraction at Thorpe Park in 2018.

At this stage it's purely speculation on our part, as nothing has been confirmed by the park, but we think that based on what is known there is a fairly good chance of this happening.
